Starting Monday, July 7, 2008, Landfill Site #2 will accept only non-flood related debris from commercial haulers and all waste hauled by the general public.  If individuals choose to bring their own flood items directly to the landfill a rate of $32.90 per ton will be charged  with a $15 minimum per pick-up truck load. Regular Solid Waste:  $35 / TON $5 / $15 Minimums Apply to ALL	Site #1 at A Street SW only accepting FLOOD DEBRIS FROM COMMERCIAL TRUCKS ONLY all other traffic will be turned away. Flood Damaged Debris:  $32.90 per ton
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS CAN BE RECYCLED AT BOTH LANDFILL LOCATIONS:
*Appliances $9 each Batteries - Auto, Household, Free Computer Monitors $5 each Copiers, Faxes, Printers $3 sm, $15 lrge Electronics (DVDs, Radios, Phones, VCRs, etc.) Free *Fluorescent Bulbs (households only) Free Scrap Metal Free Televisions $5 non-console / $10 console *Tire $1/$2 car, pick-up off/on rim; $10/$15 straight truck, semi off/on rim; $25 tractor *Yard Waste, Vegetative, Woody Debris $15/ton                                                                                               *Material banned from Iowa landfills
